In your books, PLEASE remember to track TRAVEL separately from ENTERTAINMENT which should also be separate from MEALS, the later being when you may have pizza, sandwiches, whatever for staff when they are working late, having a work related meeting covering work subjects, etc. Starting 1/1/18, business related travel is still deductible, as are meals – but entertainment (yes, even if you are ‘entertaining’ with a prospective client or 3), is NOT deductible at all. BUT, best to capture it correctly, and let your tax professional know that you know the difference and did ‘The Right Stuff.’
