Appreciate your Local Nature!
There’s a lot of opportunity to be outside in CLE now that the weather’s beautiful, and there’s even more of a reason to interact with nature in your own city! Several local organizations can help you work the land in your own front yard with landscaping, while others can get you out and about in Cleveland’s many green spaces.
Kurtz Bros., Inc. is a great place to start with all of your outdoor projects for your home. Not only do they constantly have deals on all the materials you need like mulch, peet, and tools, they also have a weekly updated blog with helpful advice from professionals to make your projects the best they can be!
Similar to West Creek, the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park offers countless opportunities to interact with Cleveland’s own National Park. Besides organizing volunteer programs, summer camps and classes for all ages, they also publish a blog that gives you specific reasons to visit the parks or things to look for, like seasonal flowers and new bike paths!
