What do you like best about working in Cleveland?
I love the fact that we aren’t a huge city, but we have all the features of one. Everything from sports to the arts and our dining scene is amazing. It’s so much fun being part of such a tight-knit community who love their city with such a passion.
How did your business get its start?
The previous owners opened the brewery in 1998.
What makes Willoughby Brewing Company so unique?
We are the oldest working microbrewery in Lake County and one of the oldest in Cleveland. Besides being an award-winning brewery we offer a full menu and are open for lunch and dinner. We also have private event space available. And, lastly, we hold a variety of different events here, everything from live bands to trivia to fundraisers to comedy shows and so much more.
What do you like most about your job?
I love seeing people having a great time with their friends and family. In this industry, I get to host the party every day. Seeing smiling people is great for business and great for the soul.
How long have you been in business?
Almost 20 years.
Are there any details about your company that you want everyone to know about?
All of our beers are brewed in house we will also carry guest taps occasionally. We sell growlers and growlers to go. We have to live bands every Friday and Saturday night. We are a perfect venue for large fundraisers.
What does keep it local mean to you and your business?
Keep It Local focuses on local business which is so important to our communities. Having the support and resources that Keep It Local provides is amazing for me and all the businesses that are a part of them.
Are there any specials you're offering?
We just canned our American Wheat Beer, Hazy Days. The cans are on sale in the brewery every day. Also, we have Happy Hour and Daily Specials almost every day of the week.
