Greater Cleveland Volunteers

Greater Cleveland Volunteers enriches the community and individuals through volunteer services. We recruit individuals age 18 years+ to volunteer at 100+ nonprofit organizations throughout Cuyahoga County.

We offer on-going and special event volunteer opportunities.

Here are a few featured volunteer opportunities:

Special Event:

The Lake Erie Folk Fest – Volunteer on Saturday, February 24th from Noon to 9:30 p.m. in 4-4.5 hour shifts at the Shore Cultural Centre in Euclid. Serve as a hall monitor, counter attendant and concert usher.

Academic Decathlon of Ohio State Competition – On Saturday, March 3 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at John Carroll University serve as an interview or speech judge, or timer for the student presentations.

On-Going:

 

Be a Good Neighbor– Help seniors living in Maple Heights with daily needs such as changing lightbulbs, taking trash bins to the curb and back, mowing the lawn, shoveling snow and anything else that a person with challenges can no longer do. Hours and days are flexible.

Cooks and Kitchen Helpers – You can provide invaluable assistance to families who have a child undergoing treatment at one of the local hospitals.  Volunteers are needed to help prepare food and cook for patients and families at this University Circle nonprofit agency.

Volunteer with a Nonprofit Office – Help a nonprofit in the Cleveland area by volunteering as a receptionist and/or assist with light office work. Weekday and weekend opportunities available.

Senior Citizen Transporter– A senior living facility is seeking volunteers to help transport residents to the beauty shop within the facility.
