Greater Cleveland Volunteers

Greater Cleveland Volunteers enriches the community and individuals through volunteer services. We recruit individuals age 18 years+ to volunteer at over 100 non-profit organizations throughout Cuyahoga County.

We offer one-time, ongoing and short-term volunteer opportunities.

Special Event:

Mobile Food Pantry- Help at a one-day mobile food pantry on Tuesday, October 17th from 3:30-6:30 p.m. with data entry, inside facility food distributor/packer and/or a greeter.

Community Outreach– If you enjoy talking with people and attending community events, volunteer with a nonprofit agency to represent them. You would talk about volunteer opportunities, the agency mission, and projects.

Lunchtime Mentoring – Share a 4th-grade student’s lunchtime one-on-one, one day a week,  reading, talking, playing games, doing crafts, puzzles, homework.

Resume writing coaching – Consider offering your business knowledge working one-on-one with adults writing/editing their resume. Experience in human resources or recruiting is helpful. They have flexible opportunities Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., (1-2 hours).

Help a Child Succeed -Assist a child with their studies and help bring them up to their proper grade level as Reading Buddies, Reading Mentors, and Math and Reading Tutors. East and West side opportunities are available during the school day.
